About Prof. Ratnakar Narale

Dr. Ratnakar Narale, Ph.D. from IIT, Kharagpur and Ph.D. from Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur, India, is currently a Professor of Hindi at Ryerson University and Principal at Hindu Institute of Learning, Toronto. He has taught Hindi at all three Universities and both the School Boards of Greater Toronto, and Sanskrit and Gita at the Hindu Institute of Learning. Ratnakar has a passion for Hindi and Sanskrit poetry. He speaks Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil and Sanskrit languages and has written learning books for these languages.

Ratnakar chairs the Sanskrit Study Circle Toronto, an association of Sanskrit scholars and writers, he is a Director of the Hindi Writers Guild, and heads the Hindi Program at World Literacy of Canada. He is an advisor to Hindi Chetna, a magazine devoted to propagation of Hindi in North America. Ratnakar s hobbies include numismatics, sketching, poetry and music.
